LEED

WE Credit 1.2: Water Efficient Landscaping: No Potable Water Use
or No Irrigation
1 Point in addition to WE Credit 1.1
Use Permeable Asphalt on the middle of the parking areas in conjunction with other water collection methods. Pipe the water to a holding tank under the ramp to Irrigate greenery during droughts.

SS Credit 6.1: Storm water Design: Quantity Control
1 Point
Use valves in the piping that leads to the storage tank. Will have a diversion pipe that goes to an external source if there is too much water or it is not needed.

EA Credit 2: On-Site Renewable Energy
1–3 Points
Use solar panels to power everything that is involved with the parking lot. Batteries store the power for night and clouded days. An inverter changes the power so it can be used. The batteries are the biggest problem with this system. First they are expensive. Second they can get a “memory” if the battery is not fully discharged before charging. This takes many cycles. The Batteries that were chose are Deep Cycle Lead-Acid. There were chosen because of their ability to with stand frequent discharges.
Started Building scale model today.
